Bailey is not a Spaniel, he is a large (40Kg!) Rottweiler. He hasn't had the greatest start in life, having lived in a tiny flat for a long time without exercise or socialisation, he is however, a lovely natured boy (if a little giddy) who is highly delighted to have space to play with his new doggy friends and who just loves his walks - even if they do make his poor feet and legs a bit sore.
Very sadly, we had to make the heart breaking decision to have Bails put to sleep earlier in 2012.  He had undergone a cruciate repair, followed by a huge operation to realign his elbow.  Although both ops went well, he made a poor recovery and was unable to walk more than a few yards with any enjoyment.  We felt it was wrong to prolong his suffering, with little prospect of any radical improvement, at only 4 years old, it was one of the hardest decisions ever, but completely the right one for the boy.
